Temperature Senso and Telemetry
I have had the privalege of testing these temperature sensor with the new NEO temperature telemetry for the past 3 months and I can say it is an exceptional product at a very reasonable price. Setup with your NEO is simple and you can set up multiple ways to monitor the temperature with pre set warnings that are verbal, tone, or vibration, or all of them. The sensor attaches very easily in almost any area you want to monitor temperatures. I use it on Cylinder heads of my gas engines and have moved it around to multiple locations to see how the temp varies around the head. It's as simple as stick it where you want it and put a dab of High Temp silicone on it to hold it in place. If you want to see a record of the max temp recorded you simply set your warning temperature below where you normally set it, and now every time it senses a temperature above your warning limit it also enters that in your flight log. You can simply scroll through your flight log and see what the highest temperauture the sensor and telemetry recorded was as well as when in your flight. I personally set this all the time and also the verbal warning so my Vcontol reads me the operating temperature during the flight without any need for switches to get a verbal accounting of your engine temperature. It's very similar to the way the current sensor can be configured to give you verbal notifications of the remaining percentage of mAh left in your flight pack during your flight. I also tested it on my 700 Electric and put the sensor in the fins of the heat sink to see what temps I would see as I flew. It worked superbly in that location. Overall the simplest and easiest way to monitor any temperature you like with the VControl and NEO.
